The $6.175 million Emirates Melbourne Cup is a truly spectacular event and the focal point of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Located opposite the Winning Post, under the Hill Stand, the Lawn Stand provides spectacular views of the racecourse and the Melbourne city skyline. The Lawn Stand is uncovered and is subject to weather conditions.

GRANDSTAND UPGRADES
Undercroft – additional $25 per person
The Undercroft is located under the Lawn Stand and is indoors, behind glass and air-conditioned. Please note patrons in the Undercroft may need to stand in order to view the races.

The Precinct with Reserved Lawn Stand Seat – additional $139 per person
This very popular Melbourne Cup Carnival location provides something for everyone within an enclosure that boasts a brilliant raceday vibe. The Precinct (The Banks) will deliver an exciting experience for racegoers looking to immerse themselves in the party atmosphere
that the Carnival has become renowned for. All the racing action will be offered on a superscreen while an entertainment area will be a great place to party. The leafy al fresco surrounds and a range of shade structures will ensure that patrons are provided with a selection of areas in which to relax and make a base for the day. The Precinct will also include a feature bar, catering outlets, tote facilities and bookmakers whilst allowing access to all general public areas around the racecourse.

Package inclusions: racecourse admission and admission to the precinct.
The precinct will also include the following amenities: a selection of takeaway and gourmet style food and beverages available for purchase, entertainment between races, large super screen, tote facilities and bookmaker, tables, chairs and market umbrellas.

AAMI VICTORIA DERBY DAY
Stay in Melbourne for 5 nights to include AAMI Victoria Derby Day considered by most racing purists to be the best single day of thoroughbred racing in Australia, if not the world. AAMI Victoria Derby, the classic Group 1 staying test for three-year olds over 2500m, is the showcase event on the incredible all-Group racecard.
Style, class and elegance underpin the fashions on AAMI Victoria Derby Day. This is the day for classic sophistication, setting the pace for the Melbourne Cup Carnival. The traditional black and white outfit has been a prominent colour theme for women, while men have worn a grey morning suit and top hat.
The off-track spotlight centres on the Myer Fashions on the Field stage, the venue for Australia’s richest fashion competition which in 2012 celebrates its 50th anniversary.
