No other motor sports facility has the rich history and tradition of the City of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The ‘Greatest Spectacle in Racing’ has a special meaning to race fans and the 2024 race is set to be even more memorable. Experience the excitement of being part of the largest sporting event in the World and add a chapter to your lifetime memories at the Indy 500, the World’s greatest auto race and an American Memorial Day tradition for over 110 years.

The Indy 500 and its supporting events is a spectacle not to be missed and we look forward to hosting you at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2024 for the 108th running of the Indy 500!

ITINERARY

MONDAY 20 MAY – Arrive Indianapolis
On arrival at Indianapolis you will be met by Willie Kay and transferred to the Drury Plaza Hotel.

TUESDAY 21 MAY
Visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, take a lap around the famed oval with a stop at the “Yard of Bricks” at the start/finish line for a photo opportunity or to “kiss the bricks”. Visit the merchandise, souvenir and gift shops.

WEDNESDAY 22 MAY
Visit the private automobile museum of Ray Skillman for a personal tour of classic, historic and special cars, racing cars and memorabilia.
Lunch at the museum’s Juke Box Diner is included. In the evening attend a local speedway track and supporting events.

THURSDAY 23 MAY
Visit the Scott Dixon Chip Ganassi Racing Headquarters where you will get an insider’s view of an Indy Car race shop. Visit a race car restoration shop and other points of interest. In the evening attend the Auto Racing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Indianapolis 500 Old Timers Recognition Dinner. This event is the annual gathering of former drivers, mechanics and crews and is attended by some current drivers of the Indy 500 and other sanctions and celebrities.

FRIDAY 24 MAY
This is the last chance for the final chassis tuning for the Indy Cars and is a great opportunity to watch the action. At the completion of the Indy Cars practice session the Indy Car teams hold their Pit Stop Competition competing for US$100,000. In the evening attend the Carb Night Classic featuring the Silver Crown Cars, USAC Midgets and the USF2000 Road to Indy races at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

SATURDAY 25 MAY
Pre-race festivities for the Indy 500 begin with Legends Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Attend the public drivers’ meeting and autograph session then watch the 500 Festival Parade through downtown.
The second largest parade in the USA this event reflects America’s love of parades and is a spectacle well worth watching and is a fitting climax to the build up to the Indy 500 race.

SUNDAY 26 MAY
The day we have all been waiting for, the highlight of the Tour. The Indianapolis 500. Gates open at 6:00 am and pre-race ceremonies including spectacle of bands, a vintage race car demonstration, celebrity introductions, driver introductions, renditions of “America the Beautiful” “God Bless America” the United States National Anthem, the Invocation, the playing of “Taps” and a military flyover provide the entertainment until Driver Introductions at 11:50 am followed by the singing of “Back Home Again in Indiana”. The command “Start your Engines” is given at 12:38 pm and the green flag waves for the start of the race at 12:45 pm. For the next three hours watch the greatest spectacle of motor racing. Grandstand seats that we believe to be the best in the house have been reserved for you.

MONDAY 27 MAY
Rain day for the Indy 500. In the evening we are privileged to attend the official Indy 500 Victory Awards Celebration Banquet. Join celebrities, former drivers, sponsors and team owners to hear the Indy 500 drivers make their acceptance speeches as they receive their prize money cheques and awards.
More than US$16 million is distributed at this exclusive event which is televised live and is a great ending to the tour. A table has been reserved for tour members. Business attire (jacket and tie).

BOOKING CONDITIONS
A non – refundable deposit is required to secure a reservation. $3000 per person. Non Refundable balance of tour cost is due 40 days prior to departure. Sporting Tours reserves the right to amend the deposit amounts based on the composition of your final package or as required by the various suppliers. All supporting events are subject to change and you will be updated if there are any changes.

PLEASE NOTE Tour costs are based on a minimum of 10 persons travelling should numbers fall below the cost will increase accordingly. We will update you with any increases.
